London has origins back in the Roman era with an impressive range of Historical attractions such as the tower of London and Tower Bridge.  More recently London has developed a more high tech skyline with the development of Canary Wharf and Striking Buildings like the Gherkin in the City.

 Expect high house prices in London, possibly the highest in the UK althgouh there is some evidence that they may be the first to be falling of late.  In May 2008 the average price was just short of £360K
