IT graduate jobs hardest to find
In a new survey by The Guardian it seems that graduate jobs may be the hardest to find.
In a week where other news reports IT as an area where demand for IT staff is growing along with salaries this new regarding It graduate jobs is, at first, a little confusing.
Just to clarify the previous news, it appears the demand is growing for 'middle' level IT staff rather than a growth in graduate IT jobs. The answer to this may well lie in outsourcing overseas. Many companies have now moved first line support functions to Asia in cost saving exercises. The simplest and lowest level IT jobs are the easiest to move in this way so it's possible that the entry level graduate jobs in It have fallen for this reason.
In the present times of economic hardship it's likely more and more businesses will repeat this in attempts to lower costs further reducing graduate jobs in the IT sector.
