Founded in the 7th Century AD, Nottingham is in the East Midlands area over 150 miles North of the Capital, London.  Originally it was a crossing point for the river Trent and now it has grown to over 300, 000 people.

Nottingham originally became successful commercially through the Lace industry.  Although the city is now by no mean industrial, there is still an area called the Lace area where this industry once thrived.

Nottingham has excellent access to the rest of the UK being just off the M1 motorway for journeys north and south.  Rail links around the UK are excellent and the area is served by the East Midlands Airport, a rapidly growing terminal serving Europe and more recently the rest of the world..

Recent figures showed that average house prices in Nottingham were around £124K with some of the surrounding areas rising above £200K
